Elliptical machines are astounding machines. They allow you to mimic the act of walking or jogging while on a sudden incline or flat ground . I have used many elliptical machines in my lifetime at my local 24 hour fitness and I feel like working out on an elliptical machine gives me a magnificent cardiovascular work out.
I find that there are many good elliptical machines on the market. Companies like Proform and Sole just to name a few provide good elliptical trainers to do exercises with. You should be very wary when using an elliptical as you can fall over and damage yourself very easily. If you have trouble with steadiness, do not use an elliptical machine as they require you to have decent steadiness. Just be prepared to move little by little at first so you do not tumble and injure yourself.
Most people use elliptical trainers at their community gym, however you can buy elliptical trainers for home use . You can read elliptical trainer reviews to get a good idea of what trainers are well received before you make a purchase. I would suggest checking out the machines in person before making a decision. well it seems like going to the gym for just a year is your goal… i would not recommend this
if you do get the results you want in a year and u quit going to the gym, you will lose those results in half the time it took to get them. i would recommend buying the 300$ 2 year membership.
or if your rethinking about going to the gym at all, jujst go there and buy a month month membership

you guys won't stop guessing on why a 24 hour fitness has an escalator, I'm surprised that none of the other San Diegans have mentioned this yet, but the escalator leads to the SECOND DAMN STORY OF A STRIP MALL AND THE 24 HOUR FITNESS JUST HAPPENS TO BE AT THE TOP OF THE ESCALATOR. There, I said it. There are 20 stores to either side of the fitness center, and the fitness center is just located in the middle of the strip mall, where it is most convenient to put an escalator system. There is also an elevator system for wheelchair access. Sorry to ruin your fun beliefs that a 24 hour fitness center actually made itself an escalator. No, the strip mall did, before 24 hour fitness was ever there.
Thank you for writing this! I'm a 200 hour Kripalu certified yoga instructor and just picked up some classes at a local 24 Hour Fitness. My feedback at the end of my first class was along the lines of “less meditative, more movement – we want to sweat! We can relax on our own!” I'm a little torn – like Brenda (above) I want to bring a strong yoga presence to the gym setting, but also want to meet the needs and desires of the students. It is really nice to know that 24 Hour Fitness is trying to cooperate. I have the same situation in Vancouver Washington. I attend the Super Sport 24 Hour Fitness at the palms plaza and paid an upgrade to get Super Sport access to 24 Hour Fitness. However, they are most aggressively renting out that court to an Youth organization at the 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport at Palms than at the Andressen or the Tech Center location, which are only Sport level.
Perhaps 24 Hour Fitness will do something quickly here. I have a couple of friends that are shopping fitness clubs right now. I'd like to have something good to say about 24 Hour Fitness. So far I have put in a couple of requests to corporate 24 Hour Fitness but have not heard back. We'll see.
