What’s the next step in your online career ?

January 21, 2009 by

When I started to learn marketing online it was so exciting. I studied and eventually learned how to publish my very first website and started actually making a nice little income on the side with Adsense. That same site almost 5 years later pays my bills and has allowed me to quit my job. I am so grateful that I started my journey when I did and had the faith to continue when I thought I would give up. I recently started looking for some other way to diversify my online income.I considered all sorts of different things, and tried a few.

I tried selling stuff on Yahoo using dropshippers for paintball guns. It took me a couple months to learn how to do the graphics, study up on the subject, write content about it all and set up a merchant account. I spent like 40.00 per month on the site, and in 3 months managed to get one order. Yes, one. I excitedly packed it up and mailed it off the very next day and got an angry letter from the customer asking why it was taking so long. How could I help that it was all the way across the country and that it would take 5 days to get there..? Anyway, the next week came another order. One made with a stolen credit card. What a headache.

And after all of my trouble I didn’t even break even on the gun because of all of the merchant account charges. There just wasn’t enough profit. Other people were undoubtedly making this work but I wasn’t.

I imagine alot of you can relate to some of these examples and are looking right here and now for a lagitimate way of earning money online.I’ve always been fascinated with learning pay per click advertising but have heard too many stories about people really losing loads of money in the process. And the fact is that I just didn’t have abunch of money for expensive courses that were probably outdated by the time you read them.

Now I’m excited to be in a group of lucky people who are actually going through training and will give you the headsup and my own ppc Kahuna review on how to do this pay per click stuff properly with tools that allow you to guage the competition and write your ads better then they do. We’ll have access to software that lets us know the best keywords to go after and why.

We’re going to be learning how to produce the best landing pages and everything else that goes with creating a successful marketing campaign. And it’s brought to you by the same guys that brought you Portal Feeder and Sydicate Kahuna. I”ve started a blog dedicated to evaluating the program and giving you an honest review of ppc kahuna. Maybe you’ll join me.

Well, in fact banners on websites are a good advertising tool for many companies now adays provided that those companies choose the right viewing market strata.

and the other fact is that if those banners will be clickable if placed on websites that are related to your interest. i.e. banners for a company in the Middle East should be placed on Yahoo! regional-Middle East, and not on Yahoo! India.

To answer your question; yes if I finad a banner that is interesting and might respond to my needs and values, I would click it for sure.

Thank you for sharing a link to your new site. I was just on the site doing some test searches and while I did find places where you need further work, the basic idea is good and you have what looks like a helpful job search tool.

I want to comment on one limitation that searching company online career opportunities listings, and I also want to touch on a detail that I saw mentioned on your home page – the hidden jobs market. One issue I have touched on in my job search postings is that companies do not always place a high priority on keeping their jobs listings up to date on their web sites. You are right that just searching these sources is a good way to bypass the “work at home and make your fortune stuffing envelopes” scams. This is a valuable and important part to any effective search. I would still recommend, however, that an effective search has to rely on networking too, for leads sources and for finding unlisted and not-yet-listed opportunities. Networking to find opportunities is especially true for identifying those “hidden job opportunities” that are not openly listed. If a job was hidden in this way it would not be on the company web site.

Most of the time these opportunities are for positions that have not fully gelled yet as to what is to be on their responsibilities list, how it is to be paid for as a line item in the budget, the precise level of the position or some criterion that has to be settled on before the job can officially, publically go out as available. I will add that I have also heard of jobs remaining hidden because the people already doing them do not know they are to be replaced. The point is that these positions are probably not going to show in a company career opportunities listing – at least while still “hidden.” But saying that, I have to add that company and the hiring manager do want to hire for these positions, and generally just as much as they do for the more clarified and public ones. So if the right person comes along they might very well simply proceed from there and hire.

And one other important issue for tapping into networking for identifying great opportunities also has to be mentioned. Responsibilities lists showing in job listings rarely offer insight as to which features are high-priority and which ones are considered relatively unimportant. Networking can help you make a more educated guess on this at the very least. So networking can also help with the open job market positions too.

Thank you again for sharing this link and good luck with your new venture.

If you're looking for a career site, you might consider VisualCV. According to VisualCV, there was nowhere online for professionals to create an Internet-based resume, build and manage an online career portfolio and securely share professional qualifications with employers, customers, partners and colleagues. With VisualCV, you can do all of this in the same place.

    Take a look:

They've been getting some good press and the founder is a proven entrepreneur.

    Hi again.

It really depends on what has been important to you when spending your time at any activities. The guitar can't be your only hobby, and if you don't have other interests, it wouldn't make you a more well developed individual if you couldn't get away from just one interest throughout your life.

Maybe you can play other instruments as other (well rounded) guitar players usually do. Or there are other priorities in your life you enjoy besides the guitar that you devote your time to. Some of us reach a peak in any given ability and it becomes satisfactory. To be better at anything, more time and work has to go into it and… the love for it makes it even easier.

Then again, we are our own worst enemy and critic too when we would like to improve upon our talents and as individuals. We all have our levels of achievements and rewards in taking something on.
