what is internet marketing?
July 23, 2009 by
Internet marketing is carrying out certain activities that create sales and/or capture sales leads from potential customers that are searching on the internet for services or products.
This means getting your website to rank in Google, Yahoo MSN, article directories, blog directories, RSS Feeds, Social Networks, and other search related sites so that loads up when a prospective buyer of yours types in a “keyword phrase” that relates to your website.
This is something of a mysterious art these days and is an art that is always evolving as the search engines evolve. As each year passes there is a much greater need to hire specialists and consultants that work solely in this arena, in order for companies to be able to get their websites near the top of Google’s search engine results for the keywords that will generate sales and leads. This service is called SEO or search engine optimization. Another way for companies to get the same results is to arrange for their employees to participate in focused training seminars, or one on one training, to gain the necessary skill sets to do this work in-house
Internet marketing has come to include pay per click advertising. Ads that are placed within the results pages of search engines (when you do a Google search , they show up on the right hand side of the page) that are written by advertisers to be displayed on the page when certain keywords or phrases are searched on . Each time a user clicks on the ad, they are forwarded to \ they end up on the advertiser’s website, and the advertiser is charged for that “click”. This is how Google makes huge revenue .
The future of Internet marketing will be the social networking sites like Facebook. Here, the best way to advertise will be “viral” and more “virtual word of mouth”. This is much more complicated than search engine optimization and pay per click advertising, but has the potential to be much more lucrative!
There are many companies that specialise in assisting company’s in their Internet Marketing efforts.

That comment about your worker tendering his resignation really got to me. The reason I got interested in your stuff is because someone I met just paid $3000 for your full program, and was thinking about returning it. He had a 30 day free trial period, and he had not looked at it yet, and he was down to the last 7 days. He let me look at it for him, and I gave you a good evaluation. I can’t afford it, but I figured I could at least look at the free videos and pages. Wish I worked for you.
Because they have not read Thomas Sowell.

Not surprising. Bradshaw may play the joke-y kind of guy on TV, but back in the day he was serious about winning.
Hi Ken, good points all. My article is not intended to bash the utility of the convertible at all. I am certain that some users like yourself get good use out of a convertible. My point is that adding a keyboard to the slate sends a conflicting message to the prospective buyer that a keyboard is mandatory for all Tablet users.
I too use a keyboard often but I would rather carry a tiny, light portable wireless keyboard that will fit in my shirt pocket than add 2 pounds and bulk to a Tablet. But that's me and it's important to remember that when it comes to computers there is no one solution perfect for everyone.
Hmmmmm…
1. Hell. Used to scare the human towards #2
2. Christianity can save you from Hell if you give your life to #3
3. Jesus. "You better get right with Jesus by donating your money to the Church"
4. Give $1.00 to the Church and God will give you $7.00 next month.
5. Are you a Sinner? The Church can forgive you for your sins AND erase your guilt so you have a clear conscience and can freely sin again! Repeat as needed throughout your sinful life!
Just a few to help you get started.

perhaps EA claimed MMA wasn't a sport basing their statement on their acclaimed "Fight Night" franchise…they've been quite successful obviously in their other titles…
MMA has been around for some time now…just hasn't been in the spotlight until recent years….possible that EA just didn't want to take what they might consider a "risky" chance on this up and coming title..
not a huge fan of Dana White, but he is definitely business savvy…making money for himself and the UFC where he can afford to…
not a huge fan of how he wouldn't mind just dropping anyone from the UFC label if they have any affiliation w/EA sports…i.e. Jon Fitch
if EA ultimately decides to go forward and make a MMA game including all those other organizations mentioned; i really do not see it being very successful…so long as the UFC is at the top of the food chain; it wouldn't matter if they did have big names like Fedor or Couture…
If you didnt have people 'manipulating the search engines' (these tend to be very small business and one man bands with no advertising budget) you would find that most of the listings in search engines would be those backed by a huge sponsored link advertising budget.
Manipulation of the search engines in my book is ok, as long as you are bringing valuable content to the person searching for that content and providing a good user experience.
Sometimes it is the only way that it is possible to get your service or product out there in the listings.
You cannot manipulate the search engines to show content that is irrelevant to the search performed. It just does not work like that.
