Top Ingredients for Natural Nail Fungus Treatment

Nail fungus infection is often defined as the unsightly and foul-smelling infection that develops under the toenails.  When left untreated, it can impair a person’s walking since it has the potential to be extremely painful. In medical terms,  it is known as onychomycosis.  It usually starts out as a  white or yellow discolored spot at the tip of the toenail.  When the fungus spreads and worsens, it causes the nails to  thicken and to chip at the edges.

It is therefore important to be able to treat it immediately with the right toe nail fungus treatment once it is detected.  As mentioned, when left untreated for too long, the symptoms can continue indefinitely and the infection can easily spread to other nails and the pain can make the simple act of walking difficult.

The best breeding ground for nail fungi are the warm, dark and moist areas inside your shoes.  If you have already noticed the early onset of the infection,  here are natural toe nail fungus cure.

Jojoba Oil- This oil is very much resembles the human sebum or the oil we naturally secrete from our skin glands.  Jojoba oil, just like sebum, is useful to prevent moisture loss from our skin.

Almond Oil- When applied  topically, almond oil can  moisturize dry skin.  It is also known to relieve itching which is caused by dryness. It is absorbed quickly and non-greasy. The good thing about almond oil compared to other moisturizers is that it does not irritate the skin and does not cause any allergic reactions.

Tea Tree Oil- The tea tree oil contains terpenoids, which help promote healthy nails. Not all solutions have tea tree oil so it is best to read the label and perform a quick research on the product or nail fungus solution which you are about to try.

Vitamin E Oil- Vitamin E oil has always been well-known antioxidant. When applied topically, it is absorbed by the skin.

Lemongrass Oil- This oil is used in perfumery, and as soothing aromatherapy.

Undecylenic Acid- This ingredient has been known  to promote healthy, glowing skin.

Clove Oil- Clove is a natural analgesic thus is a natural toe nail fungus cure for the pain you may feel in any nail infection.

I believe the best medication is oral Lamasil. You have to get it from your physician. It takes about 3 months to work and he will monitor your liver function with blood tests.
I don't think OTC meds work on nail fungus.

Tea tree should not be used directly and keep it away from children, you can mix lavender oil, olive oil, aloe Vera. You can use 20-50% of tea tree mixed with a carrier oil. The mixing also depends the purpose of using tea tree oil. I hope you will find the answer from this link.

I hope you get some relief Meanie. I just rec'd a note from a reader who said drops of tea tree oil added to your own shampoo is an economical and good solution since you know exactly how much oil is in an application. Also, she told me that if you add tea tree oil to your kids shampoo it is also preventative for lice. I'm going to start that practice in our home once in a while too. I am curious to know if it works for you.

I was thinking about Kindra and the folks in the Gulf all day, Kindra's wound was horrible-but I'm glad she is using “natural cures”. Then I remembered about tea tree oil, I have used it-does not burn your skin as bad as many other things and it covers most of the issues the Gulf Coast people are facing. The Gulf Coast people also need the lightest cottons they can find-and wear shirts and long pants until things get better. I don't know how Kindra could wear jeans, little too rough hitting her wounds.

Tea tree oil, or melaleuca oil, is a pale yellow colour to nearly clear hydrophobic essential oil with a fresh camphoraceous odor.[1] It is taken from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia, which is native to the northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia. Tea tree oil should not be confused with tea oil, the sweet seasoning and cooking oil from pressed seeds of the tea plant Camellia sinensis (beverage tea), or the tea oil plant Camellia oleifera.
Tea tree oil has beneficial medical properties when applied topically, including antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral action,[2] and is also believed to have beneficial cosmetic properties.[citation needed] Tea tree oil is usually used diluted, as reactions are common with pure tea tree oil, but it can also cause irritation for some people when diluted. Tea tree oil is toxic when taken internally, and so should never be added to food or drinks.
Tea tree oil has strong activity against Staphylococcus aureus, including MRSA.[3] When used at 5% concentration, it has not been shown to cause drug resistance; however, some resistance occurs at lower concentrations such as 0.5%.[4]
