The perfect time to ask for a break

February 27, 2009 by

Everyone wants to save money while traveling, as well as save time. For most people, there has to be a trade-off of sorts, but now more than ever, you can find excellent savings on Miami, New York and chicago flights.

Ask Nicely

You would think the price of fuel going down would have a big impact on prices, but it is actually a decrease in the number of passengers offering travelers the best prices. Not only can you get great savings right now, you can also get bonus frequent flier miles and other amenities thrown in for no extra charge.

Now is the perfect time to ask for a break. Upgrade and switch those coach seats for business class, or check out non-stop flights to chicago instead of the red-eye with that lengthy layover. Be polite, and your customer service rep may be able to work some real magic.

Go the Extra Mile

Big airports offer some of the best deals in the world, but do not be afraid to look at alternatives. You can save hundreds of dollars flying to Tampa instead of Miami, for instance, and renting a car for the drive down.

Don’t have time to rent a car? No problem. O’Hare may be the busiest airport around the globe, but you can still save money on Chicago flights Midway International. Smaller airports in big cities often cater to budget carriers, like AirTran or Sun.

Traveling cheap and traveling fast do not have to be mutually exclusive. You can have both if you hunt around, and there has never been a better time for airline deals than right now. Check out costlessflights for more on flight deals.

New York is one of the states that makes up the United States. It is located near the Northeast Corner of the US. It's capital city is Albany. It's most famous city is New York City (NYC), which is composed of five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens and "The Bronx".

Manhattan is the most famous borough. It is basically a small island (about 160 city blocks long and 8 blocks wide) and it is composed of (among other things) Midtown, "The Village", "Hells Kitchen", Downtown, "wall street" (or "The business district") Uptown, The Eastside, The WestSide, Harlem, Alphabet city, Little Italy …. The list goes on as far as sections of Manhattan. There are also some famous parks most notably central park (fairly good size maybe 40 blocks by 4 blocks) , union square, washington square.

The inhabitants are pretty varied, NYC is a very cosmopolitan city. The environment is typical of NorthEast US which means it is hot in summer, cold in winter with a decent amount of snow, summer and spring are fairly moderate. The extreme hots and extreme colds usually only stick around about 2 months each.

Auto Traffic getting in and out of Manhattan is toughest since it is an Island. Once you are in manhattan thought traffic isn't too terribly bad (unless it is rush hour or if there is an event or parade or something!). Your best bet, though is public transportation.

There are many activities: Broadway is one of the great places in the world to see live plays. There is almost always a parade going on. There are lots of night clubs and places to go things to do. There are lots of restaraunts.

I want to be a part of it – new york, new york
These vagabond shoes, are longing to stray
Right through the very heart of it – new york, new york

I wanna wake up in a city, that doesnt sleep
And find Im king of the hill – top of the heap

These little town blues, are melting away
Ill make a brand new start of it – in old new york
If I can make it there, Ill make it anywhere
Its up to you – new york, new york

    New york, new york
I want to wake up in a city, that never sleeps
And find Im a number one top of the list, king of the hill
    A number one

These little town blues, are melting away
Im gonna make a brand new start of it – in old new york
