The many routines of P90X Exercise Program

October 9, 2009 by

The P90X Exercise Schedule is comprised of 3 unusual routines. You select where you want to begin dependent on current level of fitness to all you need to do is just push play. The three options are separated into Classic, Lean, and Doubles. We will cover each P90X workout here.

Classic:
This appears to be where the majority of people seem to start. The Classic is straight forward and offers the best variety if you want to build muscle and burn fat as they progress.

The classic require no more than an hour and a half in any one day. The longest workout of the total routine is called Yoga X.

Personally, I chose to do classic in my first round of the P90X and appeared to get awesome results by sticking to the routines. The diet was not strict and I didn’t stick to the P90X nutrition guide. However, I did eat clean, i.e. no soda, chocolate, frozen yogurt, steaks, sugars, etc.. I did still eat sugar but watched it carefully. I almost only used it in coffee.

The Classic P90X routine will have you work out 6 days every week just like Lean and Doubles. P90X focus on a blend of cardio and anaerobic training, just about half each.

The Classic workout is just right for those ready to start from ground zero.

Let’s take a quick look the Lean workout.

Lean:
The Lean workout schedule will make you focus on Cardio a great deal more than resistance. This is a great position to begin for those that want to stress losing fat first and then perhaps work into muscle building later on. With the lean workout schedule you’ll be working a great deal more cardio, which in turn will use more calories and help you drop weight a lot quicker.

I haven’t triedthis alternative but I think it to be awesome if you desire to get ready. Especially if you didn’t think you were quite ready to jump into Classic. You will have to set aside about an hour and a half in any one day for your Lean workout schedule.

What is interesting is in phase 3 of the P90X Workout you actually do workouts similar to Phase 1 of the Classic. With that said you will be able to understand how Lean can be a lead up into Classic and then. Then the Classic evolves into what we’ll at now.

Doubles:
This is the final P90X routine and is created for people already in shape or have completed Classic but ready for even more. You will realize why in an instant. Now with Doubles you will require great deal more time and loyalty to the program, you will need to reserve up to two hours and twenty minutes on some of days. In nearly all cases you’ll wake up and do cardio, then a few hours later or at nighttime you will do resistance workout plus the ab routine.

The main difference between Classic and Doubles is all the aerobic workout.

Each of these routines will help with near instant weight loss.

I work out in the morning too before eating. My advice for weight loss would be to stop thinking of one meal a day as "the biggest." Keep them all generally the same.

I personally tend to be a grazer on the weekends but during the week I really have no choice but to eat 3 meals due to my job. But I prefer the grazing method! That way you don't ever get hungry enough to pig out.

It sounds like you are living the life they wish they could. It also sounds like they are 'projecting' their defects on to you. No wonder you feel like you do. It's as if, you fail, then they fail, and you've suggested something called 'empty nest syndrome (last child to leave the home). Of course, when you do leave home, they will be left facing their own defects. What then? Well, you can't fix it. You can focus on your own goals and grades and eventually career. The electronics is of minor consequence. By itself it's probably not a big deal, but in context, it is. That makes the difference. So keep your dreams alive, remain focused on where you are going, and at 17, you will soon be living on your own. It's my feeling that the punishments don't fit the crime and their concerns are overextended (unreasonable).

Adulthood and independence changes everything. Be good to yourself, I think you are doing just fine.

If you eat breakfast, read the scriptures at the same time. I just read scriptures a few minutes before going to bed because it helps me sleep better. I have a tendency lately to break prayer down into small "bites" during the day, to ask help in finishing projects or to thank God for inspiration or things like that.
