Dragonblight Gold – Making Loads of WOW Gold
The Auction House is one of the least physically risky places in the World of Warcraft. You don’t have to worry about bloodthirsty orcs or marauding centaurs breaking in. You can go about your business and hopefully earn some gold. On the other hand, there is nothing but physical danger all around you if you find yourself in the Dragonblight. It is one of the most forlorn places in the entire World of Warcraft. It is a land of snow and ice where dragons go to die. The only moving creatures you will find are undead parasites hiding among the bones of the great beasts.
Occasionally a quest will take you to the fringes of this world; earning Dragonblight gold is a mark of a very brave warrior. It may soon be that many people have to cross the Dragonblight as there is a rumor that it is the best way to reach the Lich King.
However, in the meantime, it might be better to stay closer to home and get your gold through the Auction House. Even though the physical dangers are less there, there are still a great many mental challenges as you navigate through the principles of supply and demand to try and turn a profit on your purchases.
It may seem a little counterintuitive that you can make WOW money by buying things, but that is actually true.
If you have the time to hang around the Auction House and at least ten gold to your name, then you can start to make a profit buying low and selling high. The first to maximizing your purchases is to watch the markets for about a week. See what items are selling for what prices. See if the price of certain items is higher on a weekend than on a weekday.
See what commodities are plentiful and which are scarce. If you can find a veteran player who will share his long-term view of the Auction House, you are set. If not, you just need to keep observing.
After about a week of watching, you are ready to start buying. Look for items that are priced below their usual going rate or the rate they can reach on a weekend.
The middle of the week is a good time to find underpriced items; there are less people on the server and therefore less potential buyers. If someone needs to earn gold from a sale, they will price their item to sell. Then, just hold onto the item until the weekend and you should be able to sell it for up to double what you paid. Continue to reinvest your profits and soon you should find yourself with a tidy sum.
Buying low and selling high is a steady way to earn income. It is also fun, especially if you use economic principles in your real world job. While Dragonblight gold can be very exciting to earn, sometimes the risks involved will chase you back to the safety of the Auction House.

Blu Ray and DVD Player Compatibility
December 12, 2009 by Tucker · 9 Comments
Blu Ray is a term which has gotten quite some jazz. Being featured in advertisements, in print ads, in online tech forums, there is much clamor about Blu Ray. Many have come across the term, but have yet to question just what Blu Ray is.
Here is a simple breakdown as to what it is, along with the DVD Player compatibility concerns over it.
Blu Ray and DVD Player Compatibility
Blu Ray basically stands to be the next in line when talking about the development of optical storage systems. Blu Ray is basically what would come next after DVD, similar to when DVD took the place of the CD optical storage system class.
It is basically the result from the joint efforts of the Blu-Ray Disc Association, a group composed of the world’s leaders in media manufacturing, consumer electronics development and manufacturing, as well as personal computer system manufacturers. The association’s member roster include giants like Mitsubishi, Dell, Apple, Hewlett Packard, Hitachi, JVC, LG, Pioneer, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp, Philips, Sony, Thomson and TDK.
Blu Ray discs boast an impressive storage capacity of up to 25 gigabytes, 50 gigabytes on dual-layer class of Blu Ray discs. This impressive storage value makes Blu Ray the perfect medium for High Definition movies to be distributed on, bringing about the concern with Blu Ray and DVD Player Compatibility. Blu Ray discs come in three formats, similar to the format classes of DVD discs and CD discs. There is the BD-ROM, the read only type of Blu Ray disc, the BD-R, the writable/recordable type of Blu Ray discs, and the BD-RE, the rewriteable breed of Blu Ray discs.
Most Blu Ray players are built with DVD player compatibility features, meaning they are primarily aimed to work with Blu Ray discs, but could easily work with standard DVD discs as well. Standard DVD player compatibility to Blu Ray discs though, would be another story, as a different type of laser is utilized to read Blu Ray discs. A blue-violet laser stands as the primary “reader” for Blu Ray discs. Red hued lasers are what DVDs and CDs work on.
Currently standard DVD player compatibility to Blu Ray discs is non existent, as Blu Ray demands a different reader, while the readers of Blu Ray players could easily handle DVD class of optical storage media. Should you be on the lookout of getting, or upgrading, your home theater entertainment system, investing in a Blu Ray disc player would be a smart move, as DVD player compatibility to Blu Ray concerns would be eliminated.

Ipod Nano: It is easy to be pleased
October 24, 2009 by Tucker · 6 Comments
Initially, the IPod Nano may look a little daunting; this is most especially if you’ve browsed through a lot of the articles intended for its evaluation. Its size did not become a hindrance for Apple to integrate many new features. However, you have to remember that the iPod Nano is still a member of the iPod family and it offers the same user-friendliness that most of these gadgets have. Although it has been revamped and is packaged like it is a different player altogether, it still has the same feel that you get with your past iPods. The only difference is that it is extremely cooler!
Are you a total “dumbo” in the gadgets’ department, specifically in players? Fret not because no matter how new you are to this whole thing or even a complete stranger in being a music enthusiast, the IPod Nano’s layout is so idiot-proof, manageable and well-ordered that the minute you start using it, you will perfectly feel at home right away.
Ipod Nano is most definitely more trouble-free to operate. It has an interface that will stare at you and walk with you in your “getting to know you process” with the Nano. We haven’t even started at the fact that holding it is probably the most convenient thing that you’ll ever do. You don’t even need the backlight due to the amazing illumination of the very vivid and colorful 16-bit, 172 by 132 pixel color display. You want more? You can even browse through your photos while listening to your music, hassle-free. Thin is definitely good with the iPod Nano, it looks better and it fits the user better. It is one of the most well-crafted and well-designed gadgets of all time!
Let us look at its software interface. The iPod Nano, as said in the earlier paragraphs generally has the same feel and look, as other iPod gadgets. It has a menu that may be customized and the standard Music, Photos, Shuffle, Settings and Now Playing fields. A stopwatch and a screen lock have been brilliantly added to the package. It is the epitome of ease especially with its practical interface items like podcasts and audiobooks, a wonderful color screen and an inviting Click Wheel.
Educational games and toys
October 18, 2009 by Tucker · 7 Comments
Playing and learning are so closely related that they often can’t be distinguished at all. In one way or another, most games are educational – even if it were only in educating the player up to a higher level of competition. That’s quite often overlooked, I believe… but it’s true: even your very own recreational game of tennis, on a sweet summer afternoon with a frefreshing drink witin hands reach, is an educational game!
But let’s be realistic: when talking about educational games, more often than not we refer to learning systems for our children. Especially in the last decade or two, an enormous number of educational “tools” have been developed for children of all ages, and even for grown-ups. The latter may or may not be intentional, but a fact is that many of the more intricate educational or learning systems, like those dealing with science and nature, are enthusiasticaly played with by the parents of the child for whom the gift was originaly intended!
This will not so soon happen with educational toys for very young children, like alphabet blocks or ABC blocks. And then there’s the enormous range of educational games/toys for all ages in-between! Looking back on my own youth in the post-war years I am truly amazed by all the educational tools that are available now! On the other hand I believe that our childrens own creative development suffers from those pre-chewed and bite-sized chunks. I used to be quite excited with the proverbial cigar box from my granddad, out of which I created houses, factories and garages – the box that is, not my granddad.
So it’s all a matter of relativity, I think. Some values are lost, others are gained. But at least, to the great relief of sometimes desperate parents, buying educational games and toys has become easier than it was ever before. Generally speaking, this is an improvement.

Roots, Rock ‘n Blues – American Roots Music
May 29, 2009 by · 7 Comments
I fell in love with American roots music while I was in college in the late 1960s. The irony of that is that I was born and grew up in the Washington, DC area and had to move to Minnesota to hear the blues for the first time!
I should say that it was in college that I first heard the blues played by the original artists. I’d been a big fan of the Rolling Stones and numerous other British Invasion groups who were all playing their versions of the blues, or derivatives thereof. I just had no idea at the time that they’d been so heavily influenced by a whole generation of musicians that I’d never heard of.
In the meantime, there were American musicians playing blues and blues-influenced rock to small, but devoted audiences. Three of my favorites (discovered for the most part years later) were Lonnie Mack, Albert Collins and Roy Buchanan. Lonnie Mack is best known for his radio hits, but is a killer blues player as I discovered much to my surprise when Alligator Records put out a video of a concert with Lonnie, Albert and Roy at Carnegie Hall in New York City from the early 1990s. The concert was called “Further On Down The Road” and was a real eye-opener for me when I first saw it. It’s still one of my favorite videos.
With the explosion of videos on the Internet, there is a wealth of blues video footage from the 1950s through today. It’s a blessing that so much still survives from the early days. Watching some of these legends perform helps make it clear just why they are legendary.

Beautiful sets are composed of everything from wood, metal, polished glass and dear jewels, bone and ivory. Many workmen excel in the proficiency of making exquisite chess sets. These sets can sell for hundreds of bucks. The game of chess became so favored The game of chess has become so large that the game could go on for days with challengers playing winners in order to decide an ultimate chess champion. It was not until 1851 that the 1st worldwide chess tournament was held in London.
Each player has sixteen chess pieces composed from the members of a royal court. They are comprised of a king, a queen, two knights, 2 bishops, and 8 pawns. Each piece has set rules that rule the direction of their movement. The object of the game is to capture the opponent’s pieces and to at last force the other player’s king into submission. Chessboards and the pieces can and have been made from many materials.
While it is not definitive not definitive which culture invented the game, many nations attribute this great game’s beginnings to the land of India. I love Marble Chess Sets, they provide timeless good looks and the subtle and smooth feel that a marble chess set exudes are perfect elements for a great chess set. I’m terribly much a fan of stone chess pieces as they are typically heavier and simply feel good in your hands.
There are a selection of different types of marble a chess set can be made of. Normal marble also comes in a variety of colors including black and tan, green and white, brown and black, and black and white.
