Also, Adam Frank's name came from my grandfather's
Frank Adamo. My mom loved that.
We shared many good times in New York City, Mexico City, Montauk,
Yonkers, St Augustine, Gainesville, Callicoon, Hankins, Shelter Island,
Santa Monica, Catalina Island, Palm Coast, Vero Beach.
I want you to put those pictures I sent you recently of him over the years on this blog.
    See you in August.
    Love,
    Dad

My favorites are easy, Katherine/Katharine (yes, I am still a fan of Katharine Hepburn – if you want a silly, funny flick and don't mind black & white, check out “Bringing Up Baby” with Hepburn & Grant. It's funny and she's gorgeous!),
Kathleen (it IS my sister's name, after all!), Catalina (it's an island before dressing, to me), Catriona and Katarzyna. (kah-tahr-ZHI-nah to my family, weird, I know) I am of the right heritage but have the wrong surname for it, darn Pop.:)

I'm also becoming fond of of Katarina, thanks to “Sleepy Hollow” on the big screen. it's a frequent re-run in our house, just for the costuming!
I don't mind Catherine and know a Kathryn but still intensely dislike that spelling, indeed it does feel trendy and like you, I find it stilted to say. Katherine/Catherine is , as you say, 2.5 syllables. Almost three. And I too prefer the more flowing versions. Kathryn also seems to shorten to Kathy and I've never liked that. Kat, Kit, Kitty, Kate and maybe Trina, yes but not Kathy. She's middle aged. (like me!)

2 things-1. I haven't worn panties in 3 years, no make that 4! Anniversary was in Sept. The only exception is when I taught 3 year olds in SS at church and would wear a dress…Very freeing indeed! And B. Always dreamed of skinny dipping in the Pacific ocean and I have made all my dreams come true! Keep up the openness! I love how TMI just doesn't exist, that's the way, uh huh uh huh, I like it!
