Pet Insurance Do we need it?

Cheap Pet insurance is an essential part of being an animal lover and owner, and can help enormously as there is no free health service for our pets. Vet’s bills can unfortunately be very high, so to ensure that our pets can get the best treatment they need, many people decide that taking out cheap pet insurance is a sensible way of helping to cushion these costs.
Cheap Pet insurance is an affordable way to make sure your pet gets the best possible medical care, and it is very easy nowadays to obtain a competitive quote online. Pet Insurance is designed to help pet owners cover the cost of vet’s bills, because, as all animal lovers know, your pet’s health is paramount.
Like most things in life, vet’s fees are becoming increasingly out of reach for many animal owners, pet health insurance is the most essential and convenient way to ensure that the health of your pet is never neglected.
One in three pets need veterinary treatment each year, so pet insurance is an important consideration. Usually people think pet insurance is only available for cats and dogs only but this is certainly not the case , most of our beloved pets can be insured and insurance is available for horses too.
It doesn’t matter if you need to insure your dog, cat or rabbit etc. Cheap Pet insurance is simple to arrange and can provide a range of policies tailored to fit your pet and your pocket. Shopping around for pet insurance is no exception to the normal rule of price checking any insurance quotes, but is so easy to compare pet insurance online these days.

Pet insurance is very important!

I think pet insurance is a good idea. It's not "absolutely necessary" for any pet, but I think it's good to have when you don't have a huge budget to spend on veterinary bills.
I have Trupanion for my dog so I don't know all about all the other companies, but here is what they cover:
Any accident or illness that happens AFTER you sign up for the insurance and that isn't related to any condition that occurred prior to getting insurance. So they pay for the diagnostic tests, the treatment/surgery, and all the medications.
Watch out for companies that have "benefits schedules" which means they have a list saying how much things should cost, ex: allergy treatment – $200, so if your vet charges you $800, then you would only get reimbursed for $200 of it.
Trupanion covers 90% of the entire bill, and I honestly chose them because they don't have claim limits, so no matter how much your bill costs.
No matter what company you go with, I'd steer clear from "routine coverage" because it's not worth the money. You're just paying the same (and usually MORE) through the middle-man (insurance company) for basic check-ups. Best to pay for stuff like that yourself.
Hope this helped!
If you can afford it, go for it. I can't afford insurance for myself, so the pets pretty much don't get to have it, either.
Hey, thanks for bringing up that issue about the Admitted Carrier vs Surpluss Lines. I didn't address that at all – I've been learning as I go along with each post, so I'll definitely look into that more. I do hope that anyone who reads my posts points out any glaring holes or errors! I have tried my best to be accurate and complete, but I'm not going to claim expertise.
I'll probably be adding to the series of posts soon, time permitting. I have a page (on my main page, just under “about”) where I have collected the links to the posts I have done so far, and I'll edit that page when I do more posts about pet insurance, so it will be easy to find.
I've been lucky enough to have had someone (Mo) with a great deal of personal experience in researching and dealing with various pet insurance companies find the series of posts and provide a lot of really helpful information! It was a lot more helpful than the meager reviews I was able to find online.

Why dont we go back a century. Self treatment, dont do stupid stuff to get yourself hurt, dont go to the doctor for every little thing, toughen up a little, when its your time its your time, no use waisting a million to live an extra month stuck in a bed; make the doctors quit sucking on the insurance teat and maybe that will help things a little. I dont agree with that statement. Its not available with every job. Not everyone wants or needs health insurance. I dont want it forced down my throat. America takes care of the people that are in dire need of medical help through government programs and many charity programs. Democracy Rules! Socialists can suck it!
