Manchester United moving ahead in Japan, but might Liverpool forge ahead when they are away.

January 12, 2009 by

The English premier league is hotting up with Liverpool looking to bolster their lead by over coming Arsenal in the coming match and moving ahead by 4 points. With Manchester United away in Japan for the Club World Cup, Liverpool can get ahead of their old rivals.

Obviously Manchester United and Liverpool will both be hoping that none of their paraguard stretchered off. As because of the price these players are bought and sold for the final thing you want is a player lying on the grass on their paraguard stretcher with months of physio and rehabilitation reports to return them to health.

Manchester United is particularly aware in this section with Saha at the moment sporting a hamstring injury which he received in Everton’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham in November – the same game in which top scorer Yakubu damaged his Achilles, an accident that will take the striker out until the summertime.

Aston Villa seem to be looking to break the monopoly of 4 on top places in the Premier League. Strength throughout the team might prove an issue further on in the battle for Villa and it’s vital the English duo of Gabriel Agbonlahor and Ashley Young, who have to date achieved 17 goals between them this season, remain injury free.

As Manchester United are away in Japan I am sure Alex Ferguson will be having some sleepless nights praying the club will get through unscathed. The huge pressure put onto players and managers frequently just builds stress which is then passed through to how they play, you can see this in injuries such as Groin strain, hamstring injuries etc which is just a sign that the player is pushing to hard.

I hope that the coming season will show Manchester United in fine form, providing those who love the sport with some fantastic soccer.

I'd probably expect Wenger to play Arshavin in as many games as he can for the rest of the Premier League because he can't play in any other competitions. Hopefully he won't pick up many injuries and makes the impact we hope he can.

If Arshavin plays well and adapts quickly in the Premier League, then that'll give us more opportunities to save some players for the FA cup and Champions League

Oh my god. You can not be serious claiming that Ashley Young is not pivotal to our success.

Ashley Young and Stuart Downing are our best players by FAR, wake up Villa fans, they are KEY PLAYERS.

Name one other current Villa player with EXPERIENCE like they have, who can CREATE chances or can go PAST OPPOSITION DEFENDERS when the game is in opposition's hands.

i'll turn 32 this december. 2 mth younger than you r. we shared the same experience.
im from malaysia, during that time its hardly seen any live telecast for foreign football. only once or twice a year you got an opportunity to watch fa cup final or european cup final. during that time, most of the malaysian are liverpools included my father. he shown me the picture of grobblear, rush, keegan etc. but the first game i watched live was liverpool vs man united. i started to love united because of lee sharpe. he was marvellous. during 1992 when leeds won the league, the player that i hated the most was eric cantona. i watched the game between leeds and united and cantona scored the only goal. that was from corner kick. the next season, SAF bought him and at that moment i think he was crazy. why shud you bring enemy inside your team for 1.75mil? later on i began to realize that SAF was the genius and the 'enemy' was the genius either.
that's how i began my epl experience. to me man united is the club that been built for 24yrs and still continuing. the only club that ever denied them the epl thropies are blackburn, arsenal and chelsea. united remain the most consistent club in history.
