Learn How-To “Live at Home” Longer
September 28, 2009 by Tucker
Most people want to live at home for as long as they can. We dread thinking about having to give up our “freedom” and “independence” as we get older. I am sure you and your loved ones are no exception. But getting around becomes more difficult the older we get. How can we modify our current dwelling to ease our mobility and balance issues as we age? ConcerningAging.com has created a section named, “Home Modification“, which deals with just such issues.
In our article about “Home Modifications“, you will find information about why seniors need home modifications, what modifications are right for you, and how you can pay for your home modifications? Modifications can range from something as simple as replacing cabinet doorknobs with pull handles to full-scale construction projects that require installing wheelchair ramps and widening doorways. Research by the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that home modifications and repairs may prevent 30% to 50% of all home accidents among seniors, including falls that take place in these older homes. To learn more, come to our Home Modification section and choose our “Fact Sheet: Home Modifications” article.
Falls are always a great concern as we get older. Falls can devastate the life of an older individual. We can do things to minimize the likelihood of falls in places where seniors will be spending time. Our article, “Preventing Falls“, can help you identify potential dangerous situations and guide you in reducing or eliminating their risks. To get more details, visit our Home Modification section and choose our “Preventing Falls” article.

As a pediatrician, I have seen the numbers of flu patients fall sharply since we started universal vaccination. The shot clearly works and let me tell you: babies with flu are as sick as they get!
I love the puffer picture.
The searches might be related to the rash of heroin overdoses in Chicago and Detroit.
Authorities have spotted the practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and it appears most serious in Detroit, where authorities suspect that more than 175 people have died in recent months from fentanyl-related overdoses. The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating. Federal and local authorities are convening a workshop in Chicago next week to learn more.
The answer involves the usual two factors that create Feminist privilege:
1. Male chivalry towards women;
2. Feminist activism promoting female privilege, masquerading as a search for equality/equity.
The male health specialty andrology is hard to find in medical schools and hospitals, compared to the female specialties of obstetrics and gynecology. In addition, Feminist propaganda is taught in medical schools.
All this needs to get reversed by men getting off their backsides and actually doing something about it!
