Is A Small Business Marketing Coach Required?

December 3, 2009 by

If you are a small business owner and are consistently finding yourself short of leads and revenue you might need a marketing coach. Just like a sports coach, a small business marketing coach holds you accountable to get your marketing done.

Do any of these sounds like you:

  • Your marketing efforts are sporadic and inconsistent.
  • You have typically relied on referrals for your business, but find them hard to come by anymore.
  • You find yourself focusing on tactics and don’t have a plan.
  • You find you have other business systems but not a marketing system to provide you with consistent leads for your business every month.

If you can relate to any of the above, you are in need of a marketing system. By engaging with a small business marketing consultant you will have a step by step proven process to help you build a marketing system.

The biggest key difference between a marketing coach and a consultant is that a marketing coach helps you with the strategy and you do the leg work. This holds you accountable in taking action and getting results for your small business.

This could be the greatest decision and investment you could make for your small business in the next year. Do you have other systems  in your business like HR systems and Accounting systems? Do you have a marketing sytstem? If not, you should in this or any economy.

Yes I agree with Daniel K, Linkvana works well but you need to post unique and worthwhile articles to get backlinks.

If you really want a position in Human Resources than gear your resume to that position. If you want to send it to me that would be fine. First off what position in HR? You've got receptionist, background investigator, you could be the one to give the tests for positions, is it benefit relations, the HR Manager or Assistant usually have a degree in HR. Most companies do tuition reimbursement after you are hired and have worked with them for 90 days. You could use a head hunter, they find positions fast, you don't pay the employer does. Good lord in Maryland I got 35,000 a year from them for being a copy clerk. Alot of your experience can be clumped into packages. Have several different resumes that's the best route. Each one targets a particular job field. You have access to the internet go to resumes.com they have all kinds of outlines.

I think you raise some interesting points and I agree with you that EQ and IQ need to have a bridge however…

If I refer to the dictionary definitions of “communication” I think some caution needs to be understood re social media

    1. To express oneself in such a way that one is readily and clearly understood

    2. to have a sympathetic mutual understanding

I'll use twitter as an example as that appears to be flavour of the month. Neither of the above two things can be accomplished in 140 characters.

Certainly they allow a connection to take place (much like the synapses that fire between neurons in the brain) however connection is not the same as communication.

I have observed all sorts of misunderstandings on twitter which have resulted in issues for the parties concerned.

Of course if people want to use that connection and take it further (meeting up for instance)then yes communication is possible.

As a small business marketing consultant I would say that although I don't currently blog for clients I could see that they might not have the time to post as frequently as they would like to – and my services would then be used. Granted they would probably be used with owner of the blog approving them, but if I can generate more posts because I write more frequently they might see that as valuable. I guess you can hate that – but it is helpful to small businesses who are strapped for time and want the SEO.

Hi Agel ….Thanks for the info
….As a professional online network marketer and attraction marketing coach, I take my business and my financial freedom very seriously. I do also like to have some FUN with my business and see no reason why the two can’t co-exist
I love to connect with others who have the same general expectation and I like to share tools, techniques and strategies with them; things I’ve learned by “hanging out” with with some of the industry’s most successful people!

My blog is to help small business, entrepreneurs, and executives achieve success. My goals are to help aspiring business owners have access to the products, services, tools, and resources to give them the best possible opportunity for success in their chosen endeavor and to offer anyone who wants to own their own business a chance to successfully fulfill that dream .

I like to share tools, techniques and strategies with others but no Ads … unless they tools, techniques and strategies .

    Thanks

    Adolphus

Keeping in mind that everybody has different personality types and that this can cause conflicts in the workplace which can interfere with productivity, some training (and reading) on sensitivity can help at times. Not everybody knows how to show that they "sincerely care" or they may not know how to handle certain types of people or situations. The company may also want these types of people or situations handled in a certain way so that everybody is on the same page. Thus, another reason for the training or distribution of reading materials.
