Like your ideas! An added benefit is … the joy one gets from creating your own food. Especially if the whole family can participate together in making their own meals and snacks. Passing on ideas of healthy choices and making family memories at the same time. And like you said eating healthy can be inexpensive and recipes easy to make these days, just takes a little planning.

However, your claim that the Church has forbidden the Bible in some way from anyone is totally false and an evil accusation. The truth is the Church has always encouraged the reading of the Bible and the study of the Bible. The biblical scholarship in the Catholic Church is mature and contains the promise of truth as all teaching authority on earth was given by Jesus to the Church. We did not write the New Testament and canonize the Christian Bible so that heretic could delude themselves into thinking that they are a theologian. Instead it was written as a tool of the Church to be used in the community of the Church. We did not write it to usurp the authority of and from Christ given to the Church. The Protestant heresy of Bible alone has cause over 30,000 schisms within the Corpus Christi all because of the pride of men who believe that they can form a church better than Jesus and the disciples and understand the Word of God better than those who produced it.
So no we have not changed from our belief that we are to protect God's Word from heretics and the gates of hell. God bless!

I think it's great that she went with her instinct and changed the baby's name to something that suited her baby.
