I'm not a doctor, but I do use some herbal remedies because I have a hard time tolerating some prescription medications. I have found relief using some, but don't believe all the "cure-alls" I read because they are usually exagerated. I use websites for information that are reliable and I've come to trust some of them. A few years ago I was diagnosed as having an “acid stomach,” hiatal hernia, esophageal reflux, and esophagus ulcers. For a period of time I took prescribed ulcer medication and over-the-counter medication, including massive doses of antacids. None of these medications cured or even relieved my condition. My condition gradually worsened until I found out about herbal remedies.

I say go for it. Many pregnant women are stuck in 1hr of traffic every day, at at 29 weeks pregnant you should be fine. I was quite leary of you doing the 7hr flight because pregnant women are prone to blood clots, on top of you being 31 weeks and YIKES, that is not a good combination. But I am 37weeks right now and I commute one hour each way to work every day…so your trip to SF sounds like you will be absolutely fine!
